About the event

We are delighted to invite you to our Trans Lives North East event, celebrating Trans Day of Visibility 2022!

We will meet for face-to-face event in Newcastle upon Tyne on the 31st of March 2022 from 3:30 to 8pm, with online options to join. We promise to offer a safe space for the community, families and allies. The aim of the event is to create a relaxed space to socialise and celebrate our trans and non-binary communities.

You will be welcomed to join trans and non-binary artists Leo Mateus (he/they) and Melody Sproates (they/them) for two art workshops open to all and for all ages. The event will also provide information and a series of speakers will share their thoughts about Trans Day of Visibility and its importance. Opening the talks at 5:30, Lorna Smith (Deputy Director of Public Health, Newcastle City Council).
