As your Police and Crime Commissioner, Kim McGuinness is elected by the public to hold the Chief Constable and the force to account – Kim is your voice in the force, making the police answerable to the communities they serve.

Kim is responsible for hiring a chief constable, setting the force’s budget and strategic priorities and overseeing other areas of the local criminal justice system, such as victim support services.

The PCC office publishes regular information to show you how they are performing against the election promises, and Kim is held to account on your behalf by a specialist Police and Crime Panel.
