The UK’s biggest and best free pride festival is back!

Two parks, one incredible weekend.

Town Moor and Exhibition Park, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne

19th – 21st July 2019

Northern Pride Festival (formerly Newcastle Pride) is returning for another jam-packed weekend of LGBT+ celebrations in the heart of Newcastle. From the 19th – 21st July 2019, the Northern Pride festival takes over both the historic Town Moor and Exhibition Park, with a range of unforgettable experiences, from big-name artists performing on the Main Stage to Family and Youth zones, a fairground and an array of food and drink options.

The Town Moor becomes the Pride Festival Arena, home to the Main Stage, food and drink and the fairground. This year, Exhibition Park joins the festival to become the Community Village, home to our Family & Youth Zone, Health & Wellbeing Zone, Rainbow Village stalls and some added extras that we can’t wait to tell you about.

The three-day festival includes the Stonewall Remembrance March, as a sea of rainbow flags, LGBT+ people, allies, individuals and organisations join together to parade through the city centre. Over 20,000 people joined us for the parade last year!

Festival Line Up

We’re still confirming the line up. Hang tight!

Northern Pride Festival 2019 is our most ambitious event to date, so it’s only right that we get the biggest and best talent to perform here in Newcastle. The team are currently putting together our Main Stage programme as well as organising hundreds of other great events, experiences and more.

Volunteer with Pride

Fancy working at the UK’s biggest and best Pride event?

Look sickening in yellow hi-vis?

Then we need people like you to join our army of volunteers helping to make Northern Pride Festival 2019 an unforgettable event for everyone. It can be challenging at times, with nearly 80,000 attendees last year, but if you’ve got a friendly, outgoing persona and a ‘can do’ attitude, you’ll get so much out of volunteering with Northern Pride.

There’s a number of roles available from stewards and marshals, to marketeers and researchers.
