APPLICATIONS FOR 2024 CLOSED 

In 2022 when Northern Pride delivered UK Pride, there was a promise to 'elevate and celebrate the north easts LGBTQIA+ community' and Be Scene was born.

And part of that promise was to put more emphasis on celebrating the talent within the region’s LGBTQIA+ community and giving them a platform. And the success of that direction has led the team behind Northern Pride to start the search for individuals and groups to be involved every year since. 

​

We received some incredible feedback from those individuals and the attendees of the event. Ensuring a wide range of styles of music and genres, dance performances, and multicultural experiences meant that everyone across the weekend was exposed to something new, an act or artist they’d never seen before.

This year as we take over the city centre, we're calling all artists, performers and creatives to reach our city like never before as Be Scene takes to the streets with opportunities for people to take centre stage across our official and participating venues!
